We are delighted to announce that Netherne Osteopathic Practice's Matthew Rogers, a valued member of the NOP team and a dedicated member of the osteopathic community, has been selected as one of the inaugural recipients of the prestigious Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) Gold Award for Excellence 2024. This award, personally nominated by Professor Suzanne Rastrick OBE, Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (England), recognises Matthew’s exceptional contribution to the allied health professions.
The CAHPO Gold Award honours individuals who have made a significant and outstanding impact in their field, demonstrating integrity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to quality. Matthew’s dedication to the profession, often behind the scenes, has played a vital role in supporting the work of the NHS and the Allied Health Professional (AHP) community in England.
Upon receiving the award, Matthew expressed his gratitude: “I am incredibly humbled and honoured to have been nominated for this prestigious award, which celebrates excellence in the AHP professions. It is a privilege to support our AHP community and the people we serve: our patients. To be recognised for doing so out of so many talented AHP colleagues is very unexpected. I’m very grateful.”
Announced during the AHPs Day address on October 14, 2024, Matthew’s recognition is part of the awards aim to: “acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence, where a significant, outstanding and exceptional contribution has been made by individual members of the AHP community in England in their work; consistently leading by example, demonstrating strong NHS values and high levels of commitment and quality throughout their role.”
The Institute of Osteopathy, the professional body for UK osteopaths said "We are proud to celebrate Matthew's achievements and the vital role osteopathy plays within the broader allied health professions and the continued value Matthew brings to our community".
